Good food, better service.
My wife and I enjoyed our breakfast at the Morning Ray Cafe. The food was good and the portions were quite large. Our waiter was attentive without being annoying. When we asked about Park City during the summer season, he went out of his way to point us towards all of the "must see" places and events.

New Owners, great food.
The morning ray is under new ownership and has an excellent staff. The food is delicious and the coffee is as well. Come check it out, my favorite was the California Benedict

Canned food and bad service.
Hadn't been to the Morning Ray in years, thought we'd head to Park City and have some breakfast. The patio was great, it was a beautiful morning. It was really quiet though, it would've been nice to have some music or something as we could hear other conversations going on around us. I orderred the Morning Ray breakfast. It was horrible. I ate less than half of the meal (and I ordered the half plate). There were peppers, potatoes, and other 'veggies' in it. Everything on the plate came from a can except for the eggs. I added jalapenos to my meal and even those came from a can- it reminded me of 7-11 nachos. The service was slow and the server couldn't be bothered to take care of the full patio because she was flirting with a couple of guys who were already finished eating. We hadn't even gotten our food by the time a couple who arrived after us had already gotten their bill. My friend ordered the buckwheat pancake which was like a paperweight. Coffee was ok. The patio is really the only nice thing about this place. Skip it.

great breakfast.
We had breakfast at the Morning Ray at it was excellent. I had the Morning Ray dish ($8) which came with potatoes, eggs, mushroom, peppers, tomatoes and guacamole. My wife had the pancakes with fruite ($7). Both were very good and well-proportioned. I thought the prices were reasonable for main street, and the atmosphere was nice.

Can it be true? Reasonable prices and good food on Park City's Main Street..
The Scene
Head up to the top of Main Street and grab a table or booth at this crowded diner. The specialty is breakfast and on winter weekends, "The Ray" gets jammed. If you're on the run, get a bagel or pastry from the bakery counter.
The Food
To get ready for a day on the slopes or a summer hike, get the Morning Ray--a big plate of house fries, topped with mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes, onions, cheese, sour cream, guacamole and two eggs. Huevos Rancheros are another specialty, though the salsa is rather mild. Pancake lovers can choose either sourdough or Buckaroo (buckwheat, cornmeal and buttermilk). After breakfast, the menu turns toward bagel sandwiches, along with soups and salads. The Ray imports its bagels from the famous H&H in New York, so they're a bit pricey.
