The Scene – Inside, it's all high-end alpine lodge--carpeted, hushed, serene. Deck seating is less formal, with a view of Deer Valley's ski and biking hills. Service is top-notch. – – The Food – An appetizer of citrus-cured wild salmon carpaccio with fennel, drizzled with rose-peppercorn oil is gorgeous. Ditto for summer vegetable risotto, surrounded with marble-sized onions, petite beets, carrots and wedges of heirloom tomatoes, all in a wide bowl, atop a beet-purple pool of vegetable broth. Moist salmon wrapped in savory veal bacon is perfect with its subtle…
Best dining in Park City
by NCatr
I recently dined at Stein Eriksen Lodge with my girlifriend while on a short ski vacation in Utah. Our experience was great from start to finish. The wine list was exceptional and the menu quite interesting. It was a bit on the pricey side but the service made up for it. We loved the red salad and the pork cheeks as a first course. The duck dish is unique and delicious and the filet was one of the best steaks I have had. Desserts were over the top, an unexpected surprise. The Stein Eriksen Lodge is a must for dining in Park City. We'll be back.
Can we give it LESS than 1 star??

WAY over rated!! We expected a nice dinner in a nice atmosphere. We thought the facility was dated and unappealing and the food was worse. All four of us thought our meals were plain and unappealing and over priced. Wine glasses were dirty. It wasn't even worth complaining because they obviously are used to under performing. We will never go back. Park City and Deer Valley have lots of nice places to choose from. Why bother with this one?
- Cons: The food.
Beautiful Setting, Excellent Service, Very Good Food

An excellent restaurant up the mountain above Park City. The Stein Eriksen Lodge in which the restaurant is located, and the restaurant itself, are very attractive. The service could not have been better. The food was quite good, though a bit uneven (the short ribs were superb, the duck breast good but a bit small in serving size, and the desserts good but not great.) I noticed that Glitretind was marked as "No" re "Good for Kids." I have to disagree. We were there with my three-year old daughter, and there was no problem at all. The children's menu is good, and the staff were very accommodating. All in all, very much worth a stop.
