Just the Facts
More than 20,000 students attend the public Utah Valley State College. The school is just off of I-15 between Utah Lake and the Wasatch Front. UVSC began as a vocational school in 1941 and was approved as a state college in 1993.
Cerebral Pursuits
Besides the numerous bachelor degrees offered by the school, UVSC offers many associate degrees and one-year technical programs like diesel mechanics and hospital management. Anyone interested in attending UVSC will be admitted—the school has an open-door admissions policy.
Extracurricular Activities
Though no one lives on-campus, UVSC still has an active campus life. The college has men's and women's basketball teams, golf, softball, track and baseball. During the week, students can catch guest lectures, pageants and plays at the school's Ragan Theater. And, on slow nights, there's always something happening at BYU across town.
