The Scene
A sporty brewpub with lots of lacquered hard wood, Hoppers looks like a Barnes and Noble outfitted with big TVs and trout art. Loud music, a half-dozen sports channels and the roar of the crowd offset the factory-furnished wooden interior.
The Food
Hoppers offers a wide variety of grilled entrées and pastas as well as sandwiches, pizzas and burgers. Nothing too original or fancy here. The appetizers are mostly of the deep-fried variety. Sandwiches include chicken with ham, bacon and cheese, and a grilled albacore tuna. There also are fish and chips, as well as barbecue ribs and seafood specialties. Hoppers' beer is brewed on the premises and a variety of the award-winning brews are served on a rotating basis. The porter and pale ale are excellent.

I grew up in the north west right on the coast and I have had some very good seafood and I must say that their salmon was some of the best i have ever had. The service was excellent we were seated Quickly. Very friendly staff. The only bad thing I have to say was that their broccoli was not cooked how I like it but most people like theirs a little crunchy. I would go their again.

The wings and chicken strips are EXCELLANT!!! Wings are spicy and the chicken strips are juicy and tender. However, the seafood wasnt good. The grilled Halibut was overcooked and bland, as was the grilled salmon. Great finger food but not a place to eat seafood. Good beer. Good service, attentive waitress, slow on the main course coming.

This place was a very pleasant surprise. I was a little worried to give it a try b/c some of the reviews said it had sub-par food. I decided to give it a try after I read in the Tribune it had the best fish and chips in the valley. The baked artichoke dip was absolutely delicious, and HUGE!! I ordered the Halibut fish and chips which I would recommend to anyone...it was fresh tasting and not greasy at all...as for the reviews for skimpy portions how anyone managed to finish their plates is beyond me. I had a beer as well that was good...can't seem to remember the name but they said it was like a Corona but an original brew. I was stuffed but our server told us we had to try the Bread Pudding and she was right...it is fabulous. Servers were really friendly...and seemed to enjoy their jobs...the bathrooms were clean which is something else I like to see when I am at a restaurant.. I will definitely go back again.
