The Scene
Sit outside and you'll feel like you're at a Parisian cafe. Inside, an indigo ceiling, alabaster lights and flickering candle lamps set the mood for a special meal.
The Food
The crab quesadilla with melted cheese and salsa is a perfect appetizer for two. For a light meal, pair a crusty roll with a bowl of clam chowder. Or, try a salad of blackened sirloin over greens, the jumbo shrimp, or crab Louie. Favorite seafood items include fresh Atlantic salmon and King crab legs. For those who prefer red meat, it's hard to choose between filet mignon and the 16-ounce rib eye steak. Vegetarian pastas, pork chops and chicken round out the menu. Christopher's bread pudding is the house special dessert, but the crème brûlée is the real winner.

I travel often to many larger cities in the Western United States. Recently I had the privilage of dining at Christopher's with my wife and some business associates. I ordered the Hawaiian spearfish and my wife had the sockeye salmon. I had ordered spearfish in Long Beach a few weeks back and it was pretty good. The spearfish I had at Christopher's was hands down the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and perfectly paired with pineapple salsa. I tasted my wife's and it was terrific as well. My other guests were just as impressed - I will be back on a regular basis!
Pros: Great Menu
Cons: Service could improve a bit.

On July 15th, my husband took us out for a fun evening. We had not dined at Christophers in over two years and I was a bit hesitant not knowing what we would encounter. The minute we sat down however our fears were put at ease by a very professional and attentive server. She explained about their steaks and offered her recommendations. My husband ordered the Filet Mignon and I had the New York Strip. The meals were prepared to perfection and this may be the best New York Strip I have ever had. Our server explained their plans to add daily lunch and dinner specials for those who are watching their pennies. A must if you are attending anything downtown, especially a Jazz game or the Opera/Symphony. Will definitely recommend to friends and family and hope to return there again soon.
