A wonderful evening – I visited Christophers for the first time last week with my family. We were all impressed from the moment we walked through the door-seated on the spot! The food and atmosphere were the best we've experienced in quite some time-it was worth every penny. We will definitely be back.
Village Inn has better serivce on a bad night – We were really looking forward to going here after all of the rave reivews we had heard. My brother had purchased too many Groupon deals and could not use them all by the expiration date.
We were seated and the waiter immediately took our drink order and reccomended a beer to my husband because he personally loved it. While he slowly got our drinks, we decided on 2/40.00 meals only to find out that the coupon was not good for those meals. We asked him to come back in a few minutes so we could decide. 10 minutes later he came back and took our order. My husband had to ask for another beer and the waiter could not even stop at the table to acknowledge him. When he came back with the beer he said "I need to try this beer" (if you are going to lie to a customer make it consistent).
We sat down at 7:35 and got rolls at 8:36. At 8:45 our meal came. The waiter said "I am sorry your meal took so long. The kitchen was busy (yes, making all of the other customers meals around us) and I will bring you desert after". My meal was nice and presented nicely, my husbands however was just a salty steak slapped on a plate with a tiny bit of their "famous" garlic mashed potatoes. His tasted horrible. He is super sensitive to salt so he made me try it. IT WAS BAD, like they had just rubbed it on a salt lick and thrown it on the grill. They offered to make him another, but we did not have another hour to wait nor did he want another steak that was "just like it" that the head chef offered.
Needless to say, I am glad it was a coupon because I would have NEVER actually paid that much for that meal and will never recommend or be back.

Wow really – Long story short. I almost fell of my chair when they brought out our Seafood for 2. $35.00. And it had one crab leg split in half. Not the whole crab leg. Two little peices of lobster that was undercooked so we could not get it out of the shell. And 3 shrimp. That we did not even eat. Because the Shrimp was like eating papper. I was afraid to order a steak thinking that it might be the size of my finger.
Tottaly disapointed. We drove down from Park City to have a nice preValentine evening.
Rip-off – Had City Search coupon for $25 off. The hostess was very rude and said that they do not accept those coupons unless they are not busy, which they weren't. Asked to talk to manager. Manager said they would accept it. Dinner - hardly any food - asparagus was unedible. Salad was horrible. Then to add insult to injury, they add a "mandatory" 20% plus full tax to the bill. We ended up only saving $11 and the bill was over $60 for two people. You will never see me in that place again!
BEST SALT LAKE STEAK HOUSE – I can not tell you how impressed I was with Christopher's. Everything from the atmosphere, service and the food was perfect. This was for a business dinner and all my guests were thrilled with the restaurant and was talking about it for days after! I will make it a point to have dinner at Christopher's at least once a week. It really is a special place to go! This restaurant should be on everyone's list!
BEST FOOD EVER!!!!! – I HEARD MANY GREAT THINGS ABOUT CHRISTOPHER'S FROM ALL MY FRIENDS AND COWORKERS, SO I DECIDED TO GIVE IT A TRY. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END. THE FOOD QUALITY AND PRESENTATION WAS AMAZING. HAVING EXCELLENCT SERVICE WAS A BONUS. I HAVE DINED AT THE OTHER STEAK HOUSES DOWNTOWN, AND THIS ONE BY FAR WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE AND LEAST EXPENSIVE! I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.
Worst service ever! – I took my wife there for an nice evening and their early bird special. What we ended up getting was service that was lacking and a feeling like we could have better spent our money elsewhere. When the check came we left 15% for our sub-par waiter (at the very bottom it said gratuity would be added at 18% for partied of 6 or more), when I checked my account the next day, our waiter charged us a 20% gratuity!
I called the restaurant only to be treated very rudely and was told there was nothing I could do and could take my busniess elsewhere. I will do just that, and will recommend everyone else to do the same, unless you want to go over in your account like I did. Just be prepared to be charged a lot more than you put down on paper.
Good Food – The food was very good and the prices were very reasonable for portion size and all, my only complaint is our Waiter SUCKED!!! He was impossible to find and treated my boyfriend like crap... maybe he wanted higher class customers but either way he needs a lesson in customer service!
Horrid Service – We made a reservation for 7:00. We showed up on time but were told there would be a "slight" wait. 7:30 rolls around and we're still not seated. However, another couple with a 7:30 reservation comes in and gets seated immediately. In front of us? Needless to say that was about all we could take. We complained and to their credit they gave us a free round of drinks and an appetizer. Now, on to dinner. Service was terrible. The waiter kept disappearing and was slow. While the tables around us were all given rolls, we had to ask for ours. Probably waited 10 minutes after sitting down before we got our drinks. Wife's steak was really good. My "spicy" volcano shrimp was as far from spicy as possible and, frankly, tasted like something I could have gotten at Johnny Corino's for significantly less money. No way I was going to send it back because I would probably have to wait another hour to get it fixed. Waiter took our leftovers to bag them but never brought them back. We ended up asking the bus boy to track them down for us. Overall, for $100 I would expect much better food (again, my wife's steak was really good though) and, definatlely, better service. There is no way we will be going back.
Good Service – I don't know why people left such bad reviews for this place. My husband and I were very wary about going to Christopher?s because of the horrible reviews it had been getting. We took a chance and went anyway. We had reservations for a Friday night at 6 p.m. It was not crowded at all. However many more people were seated around 7:30 p.m. We must have beaten the rush. As soon as my husband and I arrived we were greeted by the hostess and she was kind. She sat us promptly. A couple minutes later the server came by and introduced himself and told us about the specials. He was also very nice. He always was attentive and made sure our food was what we wanted and ordered and our glasses always were full. Also I heard in a bad review that they don't let you substitute. They sure do! My husband and I ordered the early bird special which is a great deal by the way. Each person gets an appetizer, soup of the day or salad, rolls, and entree which would be prime rib, top sirloin, salmon and something else, and dessert. It was very tasty. I didn't want the soup of the day so I asked if I could have the clam chowder instead and the server was more than happy to do that. We had shrimp cocktails for an appetizer and they were okay. The shrimp seemed a little tough. The soup was good, the entree was great (prime rib). My husband got the top sirloin and it was delicious as well. For dessert we had the vanilla bean creme brulee and it was good too but tasted a lot like pureed rice pudding. I would recommend this place for the early bird special, but I wouldn't pay the expensive prices after 6:30 p.m. This place did not have bad service. Christopher employees were nice and better than average when it came to customer service.
